Professional background
Sharon S. Kianfar is a family law attorney, mediator, and collaborative law practitioner offering services throughout Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. After 20 years as a litigator, Sharon now offers services exclusively in mediation and collaborative law. Her experience in litigated cases reinforced her belief that consensual dispute resolution should be the first approach whenever possible.
Practice scope
Sharon has worked with a broad range of family law issues, including divorce and legal separation, paternity, child custody, child and spousal support, division of community property, and pre-marital and post-marital agreements. She also serves as a consulting attorney for a wide range of family law issues.
Education and certification
Sharon graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and received her J.D. from Whittier Law School in 1998, where she clerked for the Honorable Bernard J. Kamins of the Los Angeles Superior Court, West District. In 2012, she became a Certified Family Law Specialist through the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.
